Nursery Teacher

Contract: Temporary
Salary: Main Teacher Pay Scale
Closing date for applications: 12 December 2025, 9.00am

Are you passionate about Early Years education and ready to inspire the youngest learners? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Nursery Teacher to join our warm, vibrant school community on a temporary basis (with the potential for review, dependent on pupil numbers and school budget). Our much-loved current Nursery Teacher is stepping back due to family commitments, so we are looking for someone equally committed to nurturing, guiding, and inspiring our amazing nursery children.

Our school is often described as having a truly special feel and energy. We pride ourselves on our supportive, close-knit team and the positive, welcoming atmosphere that greets everyone who steps through our doors. We are seeking a skilled teacher who not only brings expertise and enthusiasm to the role but also shares our ethos of going above and beyond to give children the very best start in life.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience of teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • The ability to deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities, including phonics, maths, and daily handwriting sessions
  • A passion for nurturing a love of learning in young children
  • Experience supporting children’s physical, personal, and social development, including daily fundamental movement sessions
  • A commitment to inclusive practice, working alongside specialist teachers to support children with additional needs

Our setting is inclusive and forward-thinking, enhanced by a lovely outdoor area and regular opportunities for children to explore the wider school grounds. We are excited about our government grant, which is enabling us to build a new EYFS provision for two-year-olds - this is a particularly exciting time to join our team!

If you are a creative, caring professional eager to make a real difference, we would love to hear from you. Come and help us continue to create a nurturing environment where children flourish.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and satisfactory references.

We celebrate diversity and are dedicated to ensuring equality of opportunity for all staff and pupils. We welcome applications from all sections of the community, regardless of age, gender, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, or race.
