KS2 Teacher

 

Due to the retirement of the previous post holder, we are excited to be looking for an ambitious Key Stage Two class teacher with the subject leader responsibility for PE and Sport.

 

This post would be suitable for a practitioner who is looking for a new challenge. It is an opportunity to work in a different primary school setting adding to your leadership journey. At Burscough Village Primary we nurture all members of the school community to allow them to ‘be the best that they can be.’  We are a forward-thinking team who are keen to take on new initiatives as well as build on current excellence.

 

Our curriculum drivers are Achieve, Nurture, Growth-Mindset, Environment, Community and Pupil voice. The teacher should be able to create a diverse curriculum that enables children to thrive.  We work closely with parents by providing ‘Come Learn with me’ sessions so they are involved in their children’s education.

 

The subject leader would lead PE across the Primary age range, 2-11 years. We are looking for a keen sportsperson to enhance our PE, Sport and Mental Health provision. They should be able to represent the school, as a member of staff, at sporting events inside and outside the school day. We would like you to encourage children of all abilities to engage in physical activities as well as nurture the children with a talent for sport. We believe that children can learn many vital skills for life through the PE curriculum.

 

We have stunning facilities for Sport and PE including extensive fields, two large playgrounds, table tennis tables, a traverse wall and climbing equipment. We have two Higher Level teaching assistants who provide excellent sports clubs for the children across the school. The new member of staff should be an outstanding team player and be able to lead and motivate the Sports and PE team.

Kids' Club Manager

 

Due to the retirement of the previous post holder, we are pleased to be looking for an enthusiastic manager to run our busy Out of School Club.

The post would be suitable for someone who works within a private nursery or for a current Deputy Kids’ club manager who is looking for more responsibility or a new challenge.

It is an excellent opportunity to work primary school setting with a dedicated and hard-working ethos. Our school has extensive grounds, with a wealth of opportunities and exciting areas for the children to use. The successful candidate should have a love of the great outdoors.

The new Kids’ Club Manager should be able to embrace our school initiatives and be able to add their own creativity, strengths, and personality to provide brilliant extended school provision.

Our wrap-around care is open to all pupils from 2 – 11 years old and the manager will need to be organised and be flexible to plan activities for all ages.

Teaching Assistant - Level 3

 

We are excited to be looking for an enthusiastic and supportive teaching assistant.  At Burscough Village Primary we nurture all members of the school community to allow them to ‘be the best that they can be.’  We are a forward-thinking team who are keen to take on new initiatives as well as build on current excellence.

The practitioner should have a very good understanding of phonics and know how to teach children to read. They will have experience in planning and delivering intervention sessions to assist children with a variety of needs.   It would be beneficial to have awareness of strategies that will support children with Autism, ADHD and sensory processing needs.

Our curriculum drivers are Achieve, Nurture, Growth-Mindset, Environment, Community and Pupil voice. We would like our new member of staff to have high standards for work and behaviour.  They will need a growth mindset and a ‘can do’ attitude.  The teaching assistant should be able to create inspiring displays to enhance learning and celebrate the children’s work.

We would like our new member of staff to get involved in the full life of the school. This includes musical productions, running after or lunchtime clubs, organising events and supporting with trips and residentials. We use positive praise to encourage the children to thrive in a caring environment. We expect the candidate to be a superb role model for our pupils.
