Police Safety Visit
Two Officers from the British Transport Police came in to talk to the children recently in an assembly about why they should not to go onto the railway tracks. They also spoke to them about how to behave sensibly and safely around the tracks.
Once the infants went back to class, the juniors were shown a very realistic video where a small group of boys had been playing on the railway tracks and behaving dangerously with a tragic end. Kate from Year 5 said that they “were shocked and the video had a lot of impact”.
Mr Beer said that the visit was very informative and thought provoking and that the officers delivered a very important message.
