Baking Buns - Reception
The reception class has enjoyed following a new bread recipe today with our volunteer, Mrs Hardisty. They all helped (in groups) weigh all the ingredients, mix them together and then knead the dough. The children waited patiently whilst the dough proved in a hot place over lunchtime. They were all amazed at the size that the mixture had grown.
After lunch the children made the dough to individual bread buns and Mrs Howard (school cook) kindly baked them in her oven.
As you can see from the photos the children were delighted with their bread rolls and got to sample then with some milk for their afternoon snack.
