National Tutoring Programme
What is the National Tutoring Programme (NTP)?
The National Tutoring Programme (NTP) is a government-funded initiative that aims to make high-quality tutoring available to schools to help disadvantaged pupils whose education has been affected by school closures.
In December 2021, our teaching assistants undertook ten hours of training to be able to deliver tutoring at Burscough Village Primary School. They are skilled in many different areas of the curriculum.
We started this round of tuition in January 2022, it will last for 15 weeks. We currently have 28 children having tuition. We are pleased it is having a positive impact on the children, particularly in phonics.
